Final Results
Midlothian, Va. - Senior Natalie Desjardins led the Long Island University women's golf team to a 10th place finish at the Spider Invitational on Tuesday in Midlothian, Va. after firing a 73 in the second round for a T-4th place finish.The Blackbirds used a season-low 316 in the second round to climb from 13th to 10th on the final day.
Desjardins followed a 75 on day one with the 73 to finish with a score of 148, only two strokes behind individual champion Caroline Richmond of Richmond. After Desjardins was freshman Linnea Jonsson who used a career-low 79 to vault herself into a tie for 57th.
Junior Andrea Staudacher improved eight strokes on Tuesday with an 80 and finished the tournament in 67th place. The sophomore tandem of Anna Palsson (86-84) and Julia Rappa (84-88) finished in 69th and 74th, respectively
The Spider Invitational wrapped up Long Island's fall schedule.
