Piscataway, N.J. - Led by junior Andrea Staudacher, the Long Island University women's golf finished 11th at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J. Staudacher used a first-round 77 to grab a share of 23rd place. The Blackbirds posted a season-low 326 in round one and a 36-hole total of 667.

Senior Natalie Desjardins was consistent with rounds of 82-82 to finish in a tie for 35th. Sophomore Julia Rappa fired an 82 in the first round and concluded the event in 53rd. An 85 from sophomore Anna Palsson rounded out the team's scoring in round one and the Stockholm, Sweden native finished in a tie for 67th.

Freshman Linnea Jonsson carded dual rounds of 87.

The second and final round will be played at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow.
