First Round Results

MILFORD, Conn. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team shot 332 on the first day of the Sacred Heart Invitational and stands in fourth place. Sophomore Cristina Felip is one shot off the individual lead after an opening-round 77, while classmate Brianna Maynard is in eighth place individually.

Sophomore Alice Boothroyd is tied for 15th place four shots behind Maynard while freshman Victoria Fagan is tied for 36th place. 

The Blackbirds stand one shot behind Boston University for third place, with Ivy League schools Penn (316) and Brown (324) holding down the top two spots. 

The second and final round of the Sacred Heart Invitational will take place on Monday, Oct. 22.
