Brooklyn, N.Y. – For the second week in a row, the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team has claimed the Northeast Conference Women's Golfer of the Week Award. Freshman Brianna Maynard picked up the honor for a stellar performance leading the Blackbirds at the Richmond Spider Invitational.
The Auckland, New Zealand native was the highest-finishing NEC competitor, landing in eighth. Maynard carded rounds of 77-77-76. The final round score betters her previous collegiate best of 79, which she shot at the 2011 Yale Fall Invitational.
LIU Brooklyn is back on the links March 31 and April 1 for the MU Hawk Invitational in Lakewood, N.J.
