Suffern, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team competed at the Columbia Roar-EE Invitational over the weekend at the Spook Rock Golf Course. The Blackbirds finished eighth in the team standings, and were lead by last year's Northeast Conference Champion, Anna Palsson.

Palsson fired rounds of 74-79 to tie for ninth. Freshman Cristina Felip tied for 16^th, knocking in rounds of 76-81.

Freshmen Alice Boothroyd and Brianna Maynard finished in 33^rd and 43^rd, respectively. Boothroyd recorded rounds of 81-82, while Maynard recorded a pair of 84s. Senior Julia Rappa also competed for LIU.

Harvard took the top team spot, while Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra took the top individual spot.

The Blackbirds are off until the NEC Championship on April 27-29 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
