Final Results
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team took to the links this weekend at the Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate Tournament. Sophomore Cristina Felip led the Blackbirds at 235 over the three rounds, including a second-round 75.
Classmates Alice Boothroyd and Brianna Maynard finished at 247 and 249, respectively, with Boothyard firing a 76 for her second round. Freshman Victoria Fagan improved all three rounds and rounded out the tournament with her best 18-hole score of the event at 84.
As a team, LIU finished in 16th position. Nova Southeastern won the team title by 26 shots over Penn State. The NCAA Division II national champions from last season, NSU was led by individual medalist Daniela Ortiz who shot nine-under par 207 to best her teammate Abbey Gittings by six strokes.
The Blackbirds continue their fall season on Oct. 5-6 at the Rutgers Invitational
