NEW YORK, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn men's and women's track and field teams competed at the NYRR College Night at the Armory on Saturday evening. The men placed third out of the 14 schools that partipated.
In the men's 60-meter dash, freshman Brendon Rodney raced to a time of 6.85 to finish first and teammate Eric Williams earned second with a time of 6.94.
In the men's 200-meter dash, senior Jamal Roberts took first with a time of 21.90 with teammates Mikhail Williamson and Nickolei Mahlung placing third and fourth, respectively.
Freshman Olufemi Atibioke crossed the line in 1:04.49 in the 500-meter dash which was good for third place.
The men's 4x400 meter relay (Roberts, sophomore Alistar McLean, sophomore Andi Augustin, Atibioke) placed third with a time of 3:19.10.
On the women's side, freshman Ja'Mesha Richard secured first place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.68.
Track and Field returns to the Armory for the Great Dane Classic hosted by the University of Albany on Jan. 20.
