Final Results
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Sophomore Cristina Felip earned her second straight Lonnie Barton Invitational individual title with a final-round 78, and helped the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team to a decisive team victory at the event on Tuesday. Felip and freshman Marisol Doglioli helped the Blackbirds to a 28-stroke victory over their closest competition at the 36-hole event.
Felip, the Northeast Conference individual medalist last year, fired her second straight sub-80 round in helping her team to its second straight Lonnie Barton tournament title. Felip bettered her teammate by four strokes at 157, as four LIU golfers finished within the top 10.
Sophomores Brianna Maynard and Alice Boothroyd tied for sixth place at 168, with Maynard shooting a final-round 84. Freshman Victoria Fagan was the final LIU competitor in the field and tied for 23rd at 179.
Delaware State finished in second place at 682, while the Sacred Heart White team shot 685 to finish third.
LIU Brooklyn returns to action on March 30-31 at the Monmouth Hawk Invitational.
