Final Results
BARRINGTON, R.I. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team concluded the two-day Brown Bear Invitational in seventh place at 641, one shot behind BIG EAST member Rutgers. The Blackbirds were by far the best Northeast Conference team in attendance, as Quinnipiac (694) and Sacred Heart (695) finished 13th and 14th, respectively.
Leading the way individually on the last day was freshman Marisol Doglioli, who improved by six shots from her day-one score and shot a team-best 78 to tie for 29th. Sophomore Cristina Felip was the top LIU finisher overall, tying for 14th place at 156. Sophomore Brianna Maynard registered her second consecutive sub-80 round and tied for 20th at 157.
Sophomore Alice Boothroyd and freshman Victoria Fagan finished 40th (166) and 76th (181), respectively, for the Blackbirds.
Yale won the team title by a 17-stroke margin thanks to four players closing in the top 10. Sun Gyoung Park tied for the top score over two rounds at 147, but was defeated in a playoff by Jennifer Neville of St. John's.
LIU Brooklyn will have a two-week layoff before the Northeast Conference championships on Apr. 26-28 in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Blackbirds are the defending champions of the event, that will be competed at the LPGA International Legends Course.
