GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The LIU Brooklyn men's and women's track and field teams completed the three-day Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida on Saturday.
On the women's side, sophomore Katrina Anderson raced to a 57.03 in the 400 meter dash.
In the 100 meter hurdles, freshman Ja'Mesha Richard crossed the finish line in 14.25.
In the men's competition, the 4x200 meter relay team of Junior Kervin Morgan, sophomore Brendon Rodney, senior Jamal Roberts, and senior Jarenn Stewart placed fifth for its time of 1:24.02.
In the field events, senior Wilmot Stubblefield represented LIU with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 15.03 in the finals.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Morgan, Rodney, Roberts, and freshman Mica-Jonathan Petit-Homme crossed the finish line in 3:10.49.
Rodney also competed in the 200 meter dash and raced to a 20.99 (14th).
Petit-Homme ran a 52.62 in the 400 meter hurdles. His finals time was .13 seconds faster than his seed time. Senior Dwayne Lane finished the event in 54.13. Sophomore Alistair McLean rounded out the Blackbirds' finishes with a time of 55.01.
In the 100 meter dash, graduate student Nickolei Mahlung finished in 10.60. Sophomore Mikhail Williamson completed the race in 10.81.
Junior Kervin Morgan crossed the finish line in 49.22 in the 400 meter dash. Freshman Olufemi Atibioke finished the race in 49.83.
The Track and Field teams head to the two-day Metropolitan Championships, hosted by Ramapo University on Friday, April 12.
