STANFORD, Calif. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team makes its second straight NCAA Regional appearance as it travels to California for the 54-hole event beginning Thursday. The Blackbirds join the likes of USC, Arizona, Vanderbilt and the host Cardinal in the 24-team field.

LIU secured a trip to the NCAA Tournament by way of a first-place finish at the Northeast Conference Championship on Apr. 28. Sophomore Alice Boothroyd led the way for the Blackbirds, leading a trio of top-10 finishers by placing third at 230.

Boothroyd's classmate, Brianna Maynard, closed in fifth place at 235 while freshman Marisol Doglioli tied for sixth at 236. Last season's NEC individual champion Cristina Felip tied for 14th place while freshman Victoria Fagan rounded out the LIU contingent in 43rd.

LIU Brooklyn will begin the first round from the 10th tee at 12:55 p.m. PT, and is paired with North Dakota State and Northern Arizona.
