SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The LIU Brooklyn women's soccer team concludes its 2014 season with a road match against Northeast Conference foe Bryant on Friday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., with all of the action available live on NEC Front Row.

ABOUT THE BLACKBIRDS
LIU Brooklyn suffered a pair of 1-0 losses last weekend to Wagner and Central Connecticut that knocked the Blackbirds out of contention for a NEC Tournament berth. Redshirt senior Caroline Kaplan registered six shots to lead LIU, while junior goalkeeper Jessica Montrose had eight saves over two matches. For the season, sophomore Madison Gomez leads the team with six goals and 13 points while junior Lucy Gunton-Jones paces the squad and the NEC with eight assists.

SCOUTING BRYANT
The Bulldogs have dropped their last three contests, including a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Central Connecticut on Oct. 24. Bryant currently stands at 3-13-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the NEC. Senior Emily Barbato scored the lone goal for Bryant against the Blue Devils. Katy Biagi and Sarah Shucker each have three goals this season, and Shucker has a team-leading eight points.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Blackbirds are a perfect 5-0-0 against Bryant in a series that dates back to 2009. LIU has outscored the Bulldogs 10-3 over those five matches, including a 3-2 win last season at LIU Field. Jen Spicer and Jenn Peters each found the back of the net in the win.
