Round One Results
BEDMINSTER, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team sits in ninth place after a windy first round at the Pirate Invitational at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
With winds reaching speeds of 25 mph, the Blackbirds carded a 340, and are ahead of all Northeastern Conference teams in attendance. Princeton leads the team standings with 320, followed by Columbia with 322 and Penn with 324.
Junior Brianna Maynard shot an 80 to share the 10th spot through the first 18 holes. She parred 10 times during the afternoon, and also birdied one hole.
Sophomore Marisol Doglioli carded an 84 and is tied for 29th, while junior Cristina Felip is tied for 41st with a score of 87. Rounding out the LIU contingent is sophomore Victoria Fagan, who shot an 89 and shares 62nd place, while junior Alice Boothroyd posted a 93.
Princeton's Kelly Shon leads all individuals with 74, while Penn's Melissa Kay and St. John's Anna Kim are tied for second with 75.
The second and final round of the Pirate Invitational begins tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
