LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced on Tuesday that 5,493 softball players across seven membership divisions earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year.

LIU Brooklyn was represented by eight members of its 2015 team: Nicole Archer, Ashley Sandoval-Colon, Alyssa Gospodarek, Madison Green, Lauren Morizi, Nikki Schroeder, Sara Shier and Whitney West.

In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have earned a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the academic year. NCAA Division I, with 1,554 honorees, had the most among the seven divisions.
