Men's Track Places Fourth In 4x400 Relay at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The LIU Brooklyn track and field teams took part in one of the largest events in the country over the weekend, the University of Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.

The men started the day off on Friday placing third in preliminaries in the 4x400 relay. Finishing behind Clemson and UTEP, Andi Augustin, Mica-Jonathan Petit-Homme, Adam Walker-Khanand Tyler Cue clocked in 3:08.08 to advance to finals.

On Saturday, Petit-Homme, Brendon Rodney, Walker-Khan and Alistair McLean placed fourth overall, ahead of Stephen F. Austin, Akron, South Plains and Notre Dame in the finals with a time of 3:09.46, the top time in the league this season. 

Individually, senior Brendon Rodney was seventh in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash in 10.40

For the women, Elizabeth Adesanya, Stephanie Aidoo, Nichole Candelaria and Cemorne Davis were 21st of 43 competing in the 4x400 relay, finishing in 3:45.85, to become the league leaders.

LIU Brooklyn makes one more trip down south for the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. from April 2-4.
