Day One Results
BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team is in sixth place of 13 after the first two rounds of the Hoya Invitational.
Host Georgetown leads with a total of 628, followed by Marshall, Youngstown State, Loyola, Fairleigh Dickinson to round out the top five. The Blackbirds carded a 317 in the first round and a 333 in the second for a total of 650.
Senior Cristina Felip is tied for second after the first two rounds. Felip carded a two-over 74 to start out the day, and finished with an 80 in the second round for a total of 154. She is one stroke behind leader Georgetown's Jacquelyn Eleey. She led the field with 27 parred holes
Brianna Maynard is currently tied for 13th with four other players. The senior shot a 79 in the first round, and an 81 in the second for a score of 160, while parring 22 holes and recording two birdies. Junior Marisol Doglioli shot 80 and 84 and is four strokes behind Maynard in a tie for 28th, and posted three birdies on the afternoon.
LIU Brooklyn's third senior, Alice Boothroyd is tied for 47th with 172 (84-88), while junior Victoria Fagan carded an 86 and 90 to finish with 176 for the day and tied for 58th. Fagan also birdied two holes in the first two rounds.
The third and final round begins tomorrow.
