Final Results
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - The LIU Brooklyn men's golf team placed 10th at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate after the second and final round on Sunday at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Conn.
The Blackbirds carded a 304 as a team to finish with a total of 602. University of Rhode Island won the tournament at 574, with Bryant just one shot off of first and Saint Francis U. in third only four strokes off the lead.
Junior Rodrigo Munoz, who was tied for the lead going into the second round, led the Blackbirds throughout the tournament. Munoz shot a 76 to finish with 145 for a tie for 15th place overall. He birdied a total of 9 holes for the tournament.
Senior Stewart Gray had the best round of the day for the Blackbirds, improving two strokes from the first round and shooting a one-over 73. Gray placed 24th overall with a total of 148, just three shots behind Munoz.
Sophomore Kyle Maihi finished with 154 for the tournament, while junior Jake Spearpoint totaled 157 and freshman George Helsby carded 158 for LIU Brooklyn.

The Blackbirds will return to the course next Monday, when they travel to South Kent, Conn. for the Hartford Hawk Invitational taking place September 21-22 at Bull's Bridge Country Club.
