Final Results
PHOENIX, Md. - All five members of the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team improved on their first-round scores on the second and final day of the Tignanelli Towson Invitational on Monday. Senior Marisol Doglioli knocked a single stroke off her opening-day round and closed as the top finisher for the Blackbirds in 30th place.
Doglioli's classmate Victoria Fagan made the biggest improvement on Monday, shaving four strokes off her scorecard to close in a tie for 76th at 174. Sophomore Lauren Rutherglen and freshman Emma Paschal each shot identical rounds of 86 to tie with Fagan at 174. Freshman Sara Ciliberto rounded out the LIU Brooklyn contingent at 183.
Towson won the team title by two strokes over Fairleigh Dickinson, who boasted the individual champion of the tournament. Anneke Strobach shot rounds of 74 and 75 to take medalist honors by two shots over a pair of Tigers.
LIU Brooklyn continues its fall season on Sept. 19-20 at the Bucknell Invitational.
