BROOKLYN, N.Y. - LIU Brooklyn volleyball freshman Amanda Hubbard has been named the Molten/Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row, it was announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Hubbard claims her second straight Molten/NEC Rookie of the Week award and third this season after continuing to rack up assists once against at a blistering rate. The freshman posted a double-double in LIU Brooklyn's win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday with 43 assists, 13 digs and three kills. Hubbard's 43 assists established a new NEC mark this season in a three-set match. She added 24 assists in a setback to Sacred Heart for an average of 11.17 assists per set on the weekend. Hubbard added four digs and two blocks against Sacred Heart. The freshman leads the NEC with 8.99 assists per set overall and 10.45 assists per set in conference play.
