HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.- LIU Brooklyn women's golf finished fourth in the St. John's Invitational which was completed on Tuesday afternoon at the St. Andrew's Golf Club.
The Blackbirds finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 662. Host St. John's placed first in the five-team field shooting a 627. The Red Storm's Linda Wang won the individual title shooting a six-over, 150.
Freshman Carolina Ronchel, who shot five strokes better on day two than she did on day one, finished the tournament in third place shooting an 11-over, 155.
Sophomore Sara Ciliberto and freshman Rebeca Pardos completed the final round tied for 16th.
Freshman Aida Gonzalez (170) improved by a stroke in the final round to finish tied for 18th.
Junior Lauren Rutherglen (180) rounded out the scoring placing tied for 23rd.
LIU Brooklyn returns to action Oct. 28-29 when it competes in the Seton Hall Invitational.
