Brooklyn, N.Y.- LIU Brooklyn women's soccer continues Northeast Conference play Sunday, Oct. 9 when it hosts the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.

Redshirt junior Jenn Peters led the way with two goals. Senior Ashley Drozd netted the game-winner in the 69th minute. Senior Madison Gomez recorded three assists and junior keeper Erin Harbison made seven saves in the win.
Ayanna Smith opened the scoring for Delaware State in the 21st minute, before LIU Brooklyn (1-10-1,0-2-0 NEC) tallied three unanswered markers on its way to victory.

The Blackbirds are 9-14-1 all-time against the Blue Devils. CCSU defeated LIU Brooklyn, 5-1, in its last meeting on Oct. 14, 2015.

Central Connecticut (3-8-1,1-0-0 NEC) beat Mount St. Mary's, 1-0, in its last match. Freshman Carla Jackson scored the match's lone goal in the 90th minute. Senior keeper Nicki Turley made three saves.
Freshman Anya Bornstein (one goal and one assist) and junior Laura Casanovas Diaz (one goal and one assist) lead the Blue Devils with three points apiece.
Turley enters the match with a 3-6 record, 1.49 goals against average, .783 save percentage, and three shutouts.
