STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The LIU Brooklyn men's track and field team competed in the Seahawk Shootout Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

 The Blackbirds 4x400 relays highlighted the team's day. The 'A' relay (senior Adam Walker-Khan, sophomore Caleb Williams, senior Karl Cajuste, and sophomore Joseph Oxley) won gold breaking the tape in 3:22.80. The 'B' relay (sophomore Kobe White, freshman Kwesi Henderson, senior Delano Davis, and freshman Corey Butcher) placed second running 3:28.11.

LIU continued its success in the 60-meter dash. Cajuste placed sixth crossing the line in 7.16.

Butcher added another top-10 finish in the 300m placing seventh, crossing the line in 35.86.

In the 600m, senior Thaddeus Nelson (1:28.40) finished 13th and graduate-student Nicholas Ruiz (1:30.98) placed 20th.

Sophomore Clinton Belle placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.56m.

The Blackbirds return to the track Friday, January 6 when they compete in the Wagner College Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
