ORLAND, Fla. – The LIU Brooklyn baseball team finished off its series with the University of Central Florida Sunday morning, falling to the Knights, 12-7. With the loss, the Blackbirds stand at 3-10 overall this season.

The run scoring continued into the bottom of the frame, when a UCF player hit a grand slam to put the home team up, 7-4. The Knights would add two more runs in the bottom of the seventh on RBI singles to make it 9-4.
LIU continued to battle back, and scored three runs in the top of the eight. Frehsman Edward Modica had a lead-off walk, and sophomore

Kyle Ruth had another single to score a run, and LIU had cut the gap to 9-7.
UCF added three insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth, however, on a two-RBI single, and a sacrifice fly, taking the game by a final score of 12-7.
