2015: Named to All-Northeast Conference Second Team… Was named NEC Pitcher of the Week twice… Finished the season ranked in the NEC in wins (5^th – 5) and ERA (8^th – 3.69)… Made 11 appearances for LIU, including 10 starts… Finished the season with 32 strikeouts in 61.0 innings pitched… Went seven innings in four consecutive starts, picking up three wins and 18 strikeouts along the way… Had a complete-game shutout against CCSU, giving up just two singles and one base on balls, with just 75 pitches in 7.0 innings of work… Also pitched 3.0 scoreless innings in the second game against CCSU that day… Pitched 6.0 innings of one-run ball in a win over Stetson, holding the Hatters to just three hits and three walks, and retired 11 batters in a row.

2014: Named NEC Pitcher of the Week once, and NEC Rookie of the Week twice… Started 13 games for LIU, earning four wins… Finished the year with 65.2 innings pitched, and 27 strikeouts… Held FDU scoreless in a complete-game win, giving up just three hits… Held Incarnate Word to just two runs on five hits in a complete game win… Also pitched a complete game win against Wagner, giving up just one run on four hits over nine innings.

Background: Earned four varsity letters at Minisink Valley High School, in swimming and baseball… Named team captain for baseball in his senior season… Named 2013 NYSSWA All-State AA First Team All-Star… Was named the 2013 Varsity845/NYS Section 9 Player of the Year… Hit .465 as a senior, with 25 runs scored… Set a school record for doubles (14) and hits (40)… Went 4-2 on the mound, with a 2.01 ERA in 48 2/3 innings, striking out 40.
