NESHANIC VALLEY, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn men's golf team took first place at the Peacock Invitational on Tuesday, April 19. The men carded 299 for the single round tournament, finishing five strokes ahead of runner-up Rider University.
Stewart Gray paced the Blackbirds with his one-over par round. The senior was one shot out of first, taking a second place individual finish. One stroke behind Gray was teammate George Helsby in third, posting 74 for his round.
Kyle Maihi and Rodrigo Munoz tied for seventh at +4 shooting 76 on the day. Rounding out the LIU squad is freshman Daniel Reale, who was two shots behind Maihi and Munoz, tied for 17th in a field of 43 golfers. The rookie carded 78 for his round at the Peacock Invitational.

The men will compete at the Til Duty Is Done Invitational hosted by UConn on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 to close out the team's regular season.
