Final Results
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The LIU Brooklyn track and field teams finished competition at the Pepsi Florida Relays on Saturday, April 2.
The reigning Northeast Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, Cassandra Jones, placed 17th in the women's 400m dash with a time of 55.40. Senior Kyaira Wright-Harmon placed sixth in the women's high jump, jumping 1.73m.
The women's 4x400m relay team took seventh, finishing in 3:41.17. The 4x200m relay team of Gabriella Ade-Onojobi, Wright-Harmon, Anise Cuffee and Alea Stevens placed 16th crossing the line at 1:38.68.
In the men's 400m dash, Brendon Rodney sprinted into fourth clocking 45.96. Senior Mica-Jonathan Petit-Homme had the best individual finish for the Blackbirds, placing third in the 400m hurdles with his time of 50.55. In the same event, Alistair McLean finished in 52.49, placing 16th overall.
Tyler Cue, Caleb Williams, Delano Davis and Tyquan Dukes were the members of the 4x100m relay team that placed 17th in a field of 41 teams, clocking 40.72. Later in the 4x200m relay, Williams, McLean, Davis and Dukes took ninth with a time of 1:24.52. The men placed seventh in the 4x400m relay, crossing the line at 3:09.43.

The Blackbirds are set to compete at the M.E.T.R.O. Championships in Piscataway, N.J. The meet, hosted by Rutgers University, is scheduled to take place on Friday, April, 8 and Saturday, April 9.
