2016 LIU Brooklyn Women's Soccer Schedule

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn women's soccer team, under the direction of first-year head coach Scott McLaughlin, released its 2016 schedule on Tuesday. The Blackbirds will begin the season on Friday, Aug. 19 with a home match against Maine at LIU Field.

Following the tilt with the Black Bears, LIU will go on the road for seven consecutive matches, beginning with a contest against local opponent Manhattan on Monday, Aug. 22. A pair of games in Pennsylvania against Lehigh (Aug. 26) and Lafayette (Aug. 28) lead into a trip to South Carolina for matches against Charleston Southern and Citadel.

The Blackbirds will return to the Northeast region for a match at Siena on Sunday, Sept. 11, before concluded its long road swing against Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Boston College on Sept. 14.

A home match against Saint Joseph's on Friday, Sept. 23 rounds out the major portion of the non-conference slate, and Northeast Conference competition commences against Wagner at LIU Field on Friday, Sept. 30.

LIU Brooklyn continues its season with a pair of road games against Bryant (Oct. 2) and its last non-league game against Delaware State (Oct. 6). Six straight NEC matches finish out the month of October, including home tilts against Central Connecticut (Oct. 9), Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 21) and Sacred Heart (Oct. 23).

Northeast Conference Tournament play is scheduled to begin on Friday, Nov. 4 at a campus location to be determined by regular season play.
