STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The LIU Brooklyn men's track & field team competed in the Great Dane Classic Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. The Blackbirds scored 23 points to place seventh in the 18-team field.

Adam Walker-Khan highlighted the Blackbirds day with a second-place finish in the long jump. The senior leaped 7.02m. Senior Jahphan Lupuku continued the team's success placing eighth in the triple-jump with a mark of 13.93m.

The 4x400 'A' team (Walker-Khan, freshman Collin Sewell, sophomore Roderick Moodie, and senior Garvey Moore) finished in fifth-place running a 3:19.83.   

Moodie added another top-10 finish in the 60-meter hurdle. The sophomore crossed the line in 8.30 to place seventh.

Senior Karl Cajuste finished 11th in the 200m completing the race in 22.11. Sophomore Caleb Williams placed 13th running a 22.18, and senior Delano Davis (22.37) crossed the line in 18th.

The Blackbirds return to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex Friday, January 20 when they compete in the Gotham Cup.
