Kellogg, Del Preore To Speak At USA Basketball Academy

BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- LIU Brooklyn men's basketball coach Derek Kellogg and women's basketball coach Stephanie Del Preore will be participating in USA Basketball's 2017 New York Coach Academy on Sunday, October 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m at Iona College's Hynes Athletic Center in New Rochelle.

"It is an absolute honor to be chosen to take part in USA Basketball's Coach Academy here in New York City. USA Basketball is doing a tremendous job with its youth development efforts and we look forward to representing our respective programs and LIU Brooklyn as a whole," Kellogg and Del Preore said in a joint statement.

The USA Basketball Coach Academy – presented by Nike – provides valuable insight and education to coaches and administrators of the game. Academy sessions impart the USA Basketball curriculum for a proper skill development path to teach the game to players of all ages and ability levels. Additionally, guest speakers focus on areas of expertise to present on basketball and leadership topics applied both on and off the court.

Kellogg and Del Preore will serve as guest speakers for the event and will be joined by coaches and administrators from a number of New York and New Jersey based institutions.

The cost of registration is $50 and includes on and off the court presentations, a catered lunch, a USA Basketball memorabilia viewing, networking time and training for a USA Basketball 2017-18 coach license.
