BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team hits the road for the only time in December with an away contest against George Mason.

- The Blackbirds were defeated by the No. 22/20 Michigan Wolverines in their last game at home on December. 2 The matchup was the first of five games LIU will play in Brooklyn in December, the most of any month.

- George Mason has won seven of its last eight games after falling to common opponent Michigan in their season opener. The Patriots will put its current undefeated home record (5-0) on the line against the visiting Blackbirds and hold a 1-0 edge over LIU in the all-time series, winning their only matchup back on November 15, 2016.
- Leading the way for George Mason are Natalie Butler (18.0 ppg, 13.3 rpg), and Tayler Dodson (3.9 apg).
