BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team will play its annual game at Barclays this Sunday when the Blackbirds welcome Lehigh to Brooklyn.

QUICK HITS
  • LIU played in its first overtime game since February 13, 2016 in its last contest, a heartbreaking loss to George Mason in Fairfax, Va. Freshman Jeydah Johnson finished the game with a new team season-high with 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Her night included a new season best of eight three-pointers (8-of-12), which set a new EagleBank Arena record and was two shy of Jennifer Xiques's record of 10 against Robert Morris from February 20, 1995. As a team, LIU posted season marks for scoring in a half (40 in the second) and steals (14) and tied their best field goal, three-point field goal & assist numbers (27, 10 and 16, respectively). The Blackbirds are led by graduate transfer Denisha Petty-Evans (16.6 ppg), senior DeAngelique Waithe (7.5 rpg), and redshirt junior Drew Winter (5.1 apg).
  • Lehigh has alternated wins and losses over its last five games, going 3-2 during that span. The Mountain Hawks won their last contest, a 64-50 home win over NJIT on December 6. Lehigh has faced a pair of NEC teams this season, winning against Mount St. Mary's (75-71) and losing to Sacred Heart (65-55).
  • The Mountain Hawks are led by Quinci Mann (13.0 ppg), Camryn Buhr (6.8 rpg), and Hannah Hedstrom (4.1 apg).
  • LIU trails Lehigh in the teams' all-time series, 3-5 but the Blackbirds won their last meeting, a 53-49 win on December 5, 2007.
  • LIU will be looking for its first victory in six matchups since 2012 at the home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets.
