Final Results
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn men's track & field team was poised to score major points headed into the final day at Ocean Breeze track, and score they did, so many times that it was a 35-point margin that secured the program's fourth consecutive Northeast Conference Indoor track & field men's crown. The Blackbirds had a team total of 141 points, to second place Sacred Heart's 106.

Karl Cajuste was named MVP of the meet as well as the Most Outstanding Track performer. Senior
Adam Walker-Khan was named the Most Outstanding Field performer for his two medals in the jumping events.

Karl Cajuste ran down the NEC MVP Award after recording IC4A Championships qualifying times in three events. Cajuste, who tallied 23 points on his own, won the 200 and 400 dashes and posted a sixth-place showing in the 60m hurdles.
LIU senior
Adam Walker-Khan continued his dominance of the horizontal jumps. Adding two gold medals this weekend, the British-born Blackbird won seven golds and one silver in his four years competing at this championship meet. He added another NEC Most Outstanding Field Performer (Jumps) honor to his resume as well.
Delano Davis, a sprinter by nature, tallied 11 points in the 60m and 200m dashes and also accounted for a second-place finish in the long jump after he only began training in the field event this season. Junior college transfer
Kareem Roberts made an immediate impact for LIU, clearing 6' 11" in the high jump to out-class the field.
Caleb Williams also chipped in a win for the Blackbirds, as he was crowned the champion of the 60 m dash with a time of 6.87. LIU had four athletes in the event, including
Ernest Agyeman, who came in second, while Davis and
Sean Sinclair came in fourth and eighth respectively.
Cajuste won the 200m dash with a time of 21.70, in an event that was Blackbird heavy. Four of the other athletes in the finals were his teammates, who finished third and then then sixth through 12
th.
Cajuste made it double trouble for LIU with his championship win in the 400m; he won the event, with a time of 48.77, just ahead of teammate
Logan Jones, who came in at 49.16. Freshman
Kwesi Henderson also scored for LIU, coming in sixth.
In the 500m run,
Garvey Moore came up big for the Blackbirds, finishing third event with a time of 1:05.61.
Airrin Davis and
Deshawne Bunion also scored big points from LIU points, rounding out the heat.
Roderick Moodie also had a good finish for LIU, coming in fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8:14.
Walker-Khan and Davis went 1-2 in the triple jump standings, as Walker-Khan won the event with a final jump of 7.12, and Davis came in second with a jump of 6.98.
