PRINCETON, N.J.— The LIU Brooklyn men's track & field team finished up competition on Sunday afternoon at the 2019 IC4A Outdoor Championships this weekend at Princeton.
Senior Braylon Wilkerson claimed the event win in the 400-meter final, clocking in at 48.62 for his second straight victory in the event after winning gold at the NEC Championship last weekend.
LIU also recorded three runners in the top-15 in the 200 meter event. Senior Caleb Williams placed fifth in the field with a mark of 21.77. Junior Logan Jones finished ninth with a time of 21.93 and sophomore Justin Brown placed 13th with a time of 22.11.
The Blackbirds also recorded three student-athletes in the top-20 in the triple jump. Rookie Krishna White led the group with a ninth place showing of 14.11 meters. Classmate Jahsira Dunbar finished 11th with a mark of 14.08 meters and junior Jared Lovelace placed 18th with a mark of 13.70 meters.
Senior Clinton Belle finished 22nd in the shot put event for LIU, putting up a mark of 14.07 meters in the rainy conditions on Sunday.
