ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – The LIU Brooklyn women's bowling team wrapped up the second Northeast Conference regular season tournament of the 2017 season, going 2-2 in traditional action on Sunday.
The Blackbirds bookended the day with wins. LIU opened with a win over Duquense, beating them 941-917. Junior
Lauren McKowen led LIU in the win, with a 220, while
Kristina Genova had a 203.
McKowen also led the Blackbirds in their next match, a 972-915 loss to No. 13 Saint Franicis U. McKowen bowled a 201 for LIU in the loss. LIU then dropped a match to Caldwell, 907-807.
The Blackbirds capped the meet with a win over No.18 St. Francis Brooklyn, beating the Terriers, 978-846. Sophomore
Kayla Johnson led LIU with a 234, while freshman Taylor Karpinecz bowled a 210.
Up next, the Blackbirds take part in the Monmouth Flight Invitational, March 3-5 in Egg Harbor, N.J.
