BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- LIU Brooklyn Women's Volleyball earned its second NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Public Recognition Award, the NCAA recently announced.
LIU was one of 92 volleyball teams this year across the country to be recognized by the NCAA for their academic success.
The Public Recognition Awards are given to teams that earn multiyear APR scores that rank in the top 10 percent of all teams in a particular sport. The Blackbirds received the APR distinction for their efforts during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years - one of seven programs to earn multiple honors in the history of the awards.
LIU has earned 27 Public Recognition Awards in the history of the 12-year program.
