BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn field hockey team will host its first game of the 2017 season on LIU Field this Sunday, welcoming Towson to the Bird Cage, September 24 at 12 p.m.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Both Towson (0-9) and LIU (0-8) will be in search of their first win of the season this Sunday. Towson has losses in the books to common opponents Longwood (1-0) and Saint Francis U (2-1), and most recently dropped a 4-1 decision on the road against Sacred Heart Friday. Last year, the two teams faced off for the first time ever, as Tigers took the win against LIU in Maryland, 3-1.
Freshman attacker Kendra Sykes is the team's leading point-scorer with two goals so far.
