BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team will play its final game in the month of January on Monday with its first meeting of the season against Fairleigh Dickinson.

- LIU LIU will be looking to bounce back from a 50-46 home defeat Saturday against Sacred Heart. Graduate transfer Denisha Petty-Evans paced the team with 10 points, leading the Blackbirds in scoring for the 11th time in 19 contests.
- Against SHU, the Blackbirds set a new season-high in blocks with eight and with 42 rebounds were one board shy of their season mark. LIU also had its fourth-best showing by percentage from the free throw line, hitting 5-of-6 from the charity stripe (.833).

- Fairleigh Dickinson is tied with Saint Francis U. for the second-most overall wins this season (12) and second -longest current win streak (3). LIU trails FDU 30-41 all-time and will look to break a two-game losing streak to the Knights. The Blackbirds last recorded a win in the series on January 30, 2016 (65-62).
- FDU is led by Amina Markovic (13.0 ppg), Lauren Francillon (7.2 rpg), and Natalie Zamora (2.8 apg).
