Complete CSCAA Release
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the 688 teams that have earned the distinction of Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2017 semester, and the LIU Brooklyn women's swimming team was included on that list for the fifth straight semester.
The teams represent 430 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions, the most ever for the fall semester. To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester. The Blackbirds finished the fall semester with a 3.50 team GPA.
"This is a tremendous honor," head coach Matt Donovan said. "We are very proud to have earned this award for the fifth semester in a row. Our success in the classroom and achieving this honor is always at the top of our season goals each year."
