BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team looks to earn a split on its Pennsylvania road trip with a victory against Saint Francis U. on Monday.

- LIU lost its NEC road opener to Robert Morris, 60-53, on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Jeydah Johnson and graduate transfer Denisha Petty-Evans each notched 16 points and senior DeAngelique Waithe added ten points to keep the Blackbirds (5-8, 1-1 NEC) in striking range of the two-time defending NEC champion Colonials (10-4, 3-0 NEC). Johnson set a new season high with six made free throws, Petty-Evans extended her double-digit scoring streak to 13 games, and Waithe recorded her second straight double-double and third of the year.
- Saturday was the eighth time in 13 games that the Blackbirds converted as many or more three-pointers than their opposition. LIU hit seven shots from distance compared to five for Robert Morris.
- Petty-Evans (15.8 ppg), Johnson (14.0 ppg), Waithe (8.5 rpg) and redshirt junior Drew Winter (4.8 apg) continue to pace the Blackbirds, with LIU sporting a top-3 conference performer in each category (Petty-Evans: 3rd; Waithe: 3rd; Winter: T-1st).
- Saint Francis moved back over .500 after its third straight win, a 90-75 league triumph over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday.
- LIU trails SFU 17-47 all-time and will be looking to break a five-game losing streak to the Red Flash with its first series win since February 7, 2014.
