RESULTS
BETHELHEM, Pa. – The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team wrapped-up the last match of their fall season Monday afternoon at the Lehigh Invitational. The Blackbirds would finish the event in seventh place with a score of 669.
Event hosts, Lehigh (623) claimed the team title, followed by Fairleigh Dickinson University and Navy. Kaitleen Shee claimed the individual title with a score of 149 (+5).
Individually, the Blackbirds were led by freshman Lexi DeLorimiere, who shot an extremely steadily-paced 81 on both days of competition. DeLorimiere would finish in 20th place, carding 162 (+18) to finish the first half of her young freshman season.
Continuing consistent and pack-like play, junior Rebeca Pardos carded two 84's (168) to land 33rd on the leaderboard, while freshman Ashlee Garrett finished one stroke behind teammate Pardos 169 (+25). Senior Sara Ciliberto and junior Aida Gonzalez both scored 85-85 (170) and captured top 50 finishes to round out the Blackbird's scoring.
LIU will take the off-season to get ready for the 2019 spring season when they tee-off in March.
