EDISON, N.J.— The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its field hockey All-Academic Awards on Thursday evening. The LIU Brooklyn field hockey team was represented with 14 student-athletes on the team.
The Blackbirds had the second most student-athletes named to the 62 member All-Academic Team. To be eligible, student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
Earning All-Academic team distinctions for the second straight season was senior Amy Reid along with juniors Lauren Alburg, Haley Ballard, Batista, Casey Carrigan, Madi Cook, Olivia Dennis, Molly Jannell, Skai Sprenkle, Lydia Trout, Gillian Vallaster.
Three sophomores garnered All-Academic team accolades for the first time as Jenna Chrabolowski, Bridget Elison and Adena Gordon were also honored.
