BROOKLYN, N.Y.— LIU Brooklyn men's track & field senior Clinton Belle was named NEC Men's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. Belle opened the indoor season with a top throw in the shot put event at the Fast Track Season Opener on Saturday.

The Brooklyn native hurled a top throw of 15.98 meters to break a personal & school record in the shot put event. In his third throw of the evening Belle secured an IC4A qualifying mark with his throw of 52 feet 5.25 inches to start his senior campaign. 
LIU closes out the fall semester and calendar year this weekend at the Seahawk Shoot-Out on Friday, December 7.
