BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- Freshman Jeydah Johnson has once again been named the Northeast Conference's Rookie of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Maryland native shared this week's award with Wagner's Taylor Simmons after averaging 12 points and three points per game while shooting over 44 percent from the field in her first two games after missing four contests due to injury.

Her top performance came in her first game back, a 61-59 victory over Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg on February 3. Coming off the bench, Johnson scored a game-high 20 points - her third 20-point effort this year - and hit the game-winning three-pointer as part of her 4-for-7 performance from distance and 8-for-15 showing overall.

The accolade is the fifth of the year for LIU, which includes graduate transfer Denisha Petty-Evans' pair of NEC Player of the Week awards.

LIU hosts a pair of games this weekend, beginning with a Saturday matchup with Robert Morris on February 10 at 2 p.m.
