BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- Senior Kareem Roberts, the Northeast Conference champion in the high jump will LIU Brooklyn men's track and field at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round on May 26 in Tampa, Florida.

Roberts will compete in the second flight of the high jump on Saturday at 2 p.m. The two-time NEC Champion in the event will attempt to top his personal best of 7'1" (2.16 meters), the top height in the league, which he accomplished at the Penn Relays in late April.

Last year at the East Regionals, Roberts earned LIU's best performance of the weekend, as he finished just two spots out of qualifying range in the same event with a leap of 6-10.75 (2.10m), which placed him in a tie for 14th in the 48-man field that only advanced 12 athletes to Nationals.

If he finishes in the top twelve on Saturday, Roberts will earn his place at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field from June 6-9.
