FINAL RESULTS
TOWSON, Md. ---- The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team opened up its 2018 fall season schedule with a fifth place finish at the Towson Invitational held at the Eagle's Nest Country Club. The Blackbirds concluded the tournament on Monday shooting a combined score of 84-over 660 (335-325).
Kicking off her collegiate campaign, freshman Ashlee Garrett led the Blackbirds with a 15th place finish. The rookie shot an evenly paced 13-over 157 (79-78) in the two-round event. Not far behind was junior Rebeca Pardos who finished tied for 22nd at 20-over 164 (83-81). Rounding out the Blackbirds in the top 30 was junior Aida Gonzalez who saw great improvement on the second day of competition shooting 23-over 167 (85-82) to finish in 26th place.
Senior Sara Ciliberto recorded 23-over 172 (88-84) and classmate Emma Paschal completed the Blackbirds scoring with a 33-over 177 (90-87).
Princeton took home both the individual and group titles, as the Tigers shot a team tournament best of 597 (306-291). Close behind Princeton was the runner-up of the team event, Towson followed by Lehigh University.

LIU returns to play on Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18 for the travel to South Kent, Connecticut for the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
