FINAL RESULTS
South Kent, Conn.- The LIU Brooklyn men's golf team completed play at the Hartford Hawks Invitational, held at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Connecticut. The Blackbirds finished in 18th place with a score of 40-over 616 (308-308). Due to darkness and heavy rain, teams were only able to complete two rounds of play finishing on Tuesday morning.
Freshman Kyle Underwood led the way for the Blackbirds with another solid showing, carding an improved 75 on the second day of play landing him in a tie for 69th place. Sophomore Manuel Sosa (78-77) showed continued consistency, shooting a 11-over 155. Seniors George Helsby (74-82) and Daniel Reale (77-79) both finished in 80th place at 12-over 156.
Freshman Abelardo Yepez rounded out the Blackbirds group with a 16-over 160 (83-77). Senior Jayden Brown competed as an individual, finishing 22-over 166 (85-81).
UCF, Connecticut and Seton Hall were among the top team performers while UCF also took home the individual tournament title.

LIU will travel to Vestal, NY to compete at the Matthews Auto Invitational from September 30-October 1.
