PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The LIU Brooklyn women's lacrosse team moved to 0-2 on the season Saturday with their loss at La Salle. The Blackbirds fell to the Explorers, 17-4.

Amanda Masullo had a hat trick to lead LIU, while sophomore
Rachel Masullo also scored for the Blackbirds.
Amanda Masullo's first goal came seven minutes into the contest, cutting La Salle's lead to 2-1. She scored another unassisted goal at 13:28, that would make it 7-2. The home team widened the gap to 12-2 by the halftime break, however.
The sophomore would score her third goal of the game at the start of the second half, on a free position shot. Though LIU would limit La Salle's attempts in the second half, they would score five more times to take a 17-3 lead.
