RESULTS
KISSIMMEE, Fla.- The LIU women's golf team completed its final 18 holes of the Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon. The Blackbirds finished fourth overall with a combined score of 56-over 641, bettering their first round total by two strokes.
Three Blackbirds finished in the top 20 on the leaderboard. Junior Rebeca Pardos continued her success from day-one of play by firing a team and season best 7-over 151(75,76) to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. Senior Sara Ciliberto was second for the Blackbirds, as her score of 16-over 160 (79,81) would put her in a tie for 17th place. Freshman Ashlee Garrett climbed up the scoring list to better her first round score by four strokes. Garrett finished 19th, with a score of 18-over 162.
Junior Aida Gonzalez improved five strokes on the day, finishing in 22nd place with a score of 19-over 233 (84,79). Fifth for the Blackbirds was fresh Lexi Delorimiere completing the tournament tied for 24th, posting 21-over 165 (80,85).
Senior Emma Paschal recorded two 87's, with a final score of 30-over 174.
Appalachian State and Richmond ended the tournament tied for first (610), while Danielle Nicholson of Akron claimed the individual title (-2, 142).
NEXT UP: The Blackbirds will head back up north for the Hofstra Invitational in Hempstead, NY on March 28th.
