EAST MEADOW, NY- The LIU Brooklyn women's golf team captured a first place finish Thursday evening at the Hofstra Quad, hosted by the Pride at Eisenhower Park Course. The Blackbirds finished 45-over 333 overall to win the team title, with host Hofstra finishing eight strokes behind in second place (341). La Salle earned third place (371), while LIU Post landed in fourth (374).

Senior Sara Ciliberto was the individual winner on the day, leading the Blackbirds with a score of 9-over 81 after the first and final round of play. Junior Aida Gonzalez finished one stroke behind in second place at 10-over 82. Freshman Ashlee Garrett continued her strong first-year campaign carding 12-over 84, tying for third. Junior Rebeca Pardos joined her fellow teammates in the top-10 with a ninth place finish, posting 14-over 86. Rounding out the Blackbird scoring group was Freshman Lexi Delorimiere, finishing 24-over 96.

Senior Emma Paschal competed individually for LIU Brooklyn, scoring 13-over 85.

NEXT UP: The Blackbirds will travel to Greenwood, South Carolina this weekend for the Lady Bearcat Invite as one last tune-up before the Northeast Conference Championship at the end of the month.
