DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The LIU women's golf team completed their third round of play at the Lady Cat Invitational hosted by BCU Friday afternoon. The Blackbirds finished in tenth place overall, with a combined score of 89-over 953 (326,313, 314).
Freshman Ashlee Garrett had the low score of the tournament for LIU, climbing up the leaderboard four spots to finish in 33rd place. Garrett picked up where she left off, continuing her paced play to shoot a 76 on the day and 17-over 233 overall. Senior Sara Ciliberto shot a low on the season (75), to finish 36th with a combined score of 18-over 234 (80,79,75). Ciliberto, like Garrett, shot up the scoring charts eight spots on the second-day of play. Junior Aida Gonzalez was third for LIU's scoring, shooting 79 and finishing 22-over 238.
Freshman Lexi Delorimiere finished in fourth place for the Blackbirds carding 248 (82,82,84) over the two-days of play. Senior Emma Paschal rounded out LIU's scoring group posting 268 overall (96,88,84).
Barry University overtook host BCU for the team title (856). A pair of Barry Buccaneers, Noemie Pare and Josefina Foa Torres (210), tied to claim the individual title as well.
NEXT UP: LIU women's golf continues their sunshine state stretch, competing at the Bucknell Invite in Kissimmee, Fla. The tournament takes place from March 10th-12th.
